ROCKFORD – Daniel A. Huntley, an attorney with WilliamsMcCarthy LLP, a full-service law firm, received the 2019 Habitat for Humanity Impact Award. He received the recognition for the significant pro-bono services he provides to the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity.
The Habitat for Humanity Impact Award is an annual award that recognizes an individual who has made a significant impact on the affiliate and its families. Huntley was the Rockford area’s 2019 recipient, the third individual to earn such recognition from the organization.
“Dan has helped our families close on almost 30 homes, all on a volunteer basis,” shared Keri Asevedo, executive director of the Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity. “By donating his time and expertise, he saved our organization thousands of dollars that we can reinvest in our programs.”
In addition to assisting with home closings, Huntley advises the organization on a host of other legal matters, from land donations to drafting documents and handling deeds to charitable contributions. He does all of this with his trademark sense of humor and relatability, traits important to the families served by Habitat.
