POWELL, Ohio — Jerry L. Fisher, 84, of Powell, Ohio, and formerly of Rochelle, passed away on June 27, 2021 at Kobacker House after a short Illness.

He was born on June 2, 1937 in Mendota to the late Emil O. Fisher and Vera L. Fisher. He was a 1957 graduate of Rochelle High School. Jerry married Donna Cox on April 12, 1959 at the First United Methodist in Dixon.

He worked for Del Monte Corp and farmed for many years in Rochelle, Illinois. Jerry moved to Grove City, Ohio and owned a hobby shop and worked for many years at Sun TV and Appliance.

He was a member of the Shepherd of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a beloved husband, father, grandparent and great-grandparent. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren playing sports.

He was an avid Ohio State fan and enjoyed traveling. Jerry is survived by his wife, Donna Fisher; daughter, Connie (Eric) Babbert of Delaware, Ohio; son, Mark (Mary Beth) Fisher of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Adam (Beth) Babbert of Delaware, Ohio, Ross (Allie) Babbert of Delaware, Ohio, Mason Fisher of Columbus, Ohio and Maria Fisher of Cincinnati, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Carter, Dax, Quinn, and Brody all of Delaware, Ohio; one sister, Joy Phillips of Rochelle.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at the Shepherd of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church 520 Village Park Dr. in Powell, Ohio 43065.

A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Inurnment to be held at Berlin Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shepherd of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
