STREATOR — The Rochelle Junior Tackle teams combined for three victories during their road games against the Streator Junior Bulldogs on Saturday. The eighth-graders continued their undefeated season, while both the sixth and fifth-graders added victories. Rochelle will close out the regular season at Oregon next weekend.

8th Grade

Rochelle improved to 7-0 and remained unbeaten with a 44-0 shutout against the Junior Bulldogs. Riley Smith rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns, while Nolan Zick rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Joey Chadwick and Kyler Rowe both rushed for touchdowns, with Chadwick totaling 116 yards while Rowe added 55 yards on the ground.

Gavyn Foster and Kayl True each nabbed interceptions on defense. Kyler Rowe and Joey Chadwick each recorded four tackles for loss, while Maddox Provow totaled two tackles for loss and Ben Morris added a tackle for loss.

7th Grade

The Junior Hubs fell to 1-6 on the season with a 36-6 loss against Streator. Vaughn Manning rushed for a 64-yard touchdown and hauled in a 35-yard reception to lead the Rochelle offense, while Korbin Milos had three tackles for loss and seven total tackles on defense.

6th Grade

Noah Hayden rushed for two touchdowns as the Junior Hubs improved to 4-2-1 overall with a 12-6 win over Streator. Dominic Escatel and Charlie Chadwick aided the Rochelle offense in the win, while Matthew Johnson and Tanner Williams were the leading tacklers on defense. Brycen Williams snagged an interception as well.

5th Grade

Rochelle is now 4-3 on the season after defeating the Junior Bulldogs 22-0 on Saturday. David Sawlsville recovered a fumble to set up a 32-yard pass completion from Griffin Rutledge to Michael Vaughn. Vaughn rushed for two touchdowns, scoring on a 32-yard run and a 38-yard run to lead the Rochelle offense. The Juniors Hubs added a fourth-quarter safety to seal their victory.
