MALTA — Students who attended Kishwaukee College full time during the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semester may be eligible for Pell funding if enrolled in at least six credits this summer. The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students.
Cynthia Stonesifer, Director of Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs, enthused, “Taking summer classes is a great way to accelerate the time it takes to complete your degree or program. Many students will have increased eligibility for the Pell grant in the summer. We are hopeful that they will take advantage of this opportunity.”
To apply for the Federal Pell Grant Program, file a 2017-18 FAFSA at www.fafsa.gov. After a student’s FAFSA is processed and student is registered for summer courses at Kishwaukee College, the Financial Aid Office will determine the amount of Pell Grant student is eligible to receive.
