ROCHELLE — On Friday, Kiwanis Golden K announced its new annual fundraiser.

The club, much like many other organizations, has suffered in its fundraising due to the COVID-19 restraints. Rick Taylor, club President explained, "We have been unable to utilize our normal fundraisers, the chili supper and pancake breakfast, that fund our local organizations we've supported for the last three years and as an alternative, we have initiated this cash raffle."

There will be six winning tickets: first prize:  $2,500, second and third: $1,000, and fourth, fifth, and sixth all will receive $500 each. Tickets cost $20 and there will only be 2,000 sold according to Taylor.

Included with each ticket purchase is six coupons from local businesses: $20 off an oil change at Jeff Perry Chevrolet – Buick – Chrysler Jeep, $100 off any procedure at Maintain Your Smile of $1,000 or more, $20 off $100 purchase of regular price items at Ace Hardware (not included with any other offer), 10 percent off room charge at Holiday Inn Express, $50 off any purchase of $299 or more at Meyers Furniture and 10 percent off any purchase at Headon’s in Creston. Kiwanis Golden K thanked these local businesses for their support.

According to the co-chairmen of the sale, Will McLachlan and Don Horner, "Tickets are available from any member. If you would like to purchase tickets or a business would like to sell tickets, please reach out to any member or email us at rgoldenk@gmail.com. We meet every Thursday at 8 a.m. at the REC Center."
