Several veterans were honored at Lincoln Manor in a pinning ceremony Friday afternoon. The eight veterans each received a certificate and a pin to show thanks for their service to the country. Family members were also present for the event. The veterans also had the opportunity to share which branch of service they served as well as any special memories. Pictured above from left are David Tippett, We Honor Veterans director Janine Idstein, Jesse Dale Macklin (also pictured at right when receiving his pin), Grace Berg, Curtis Preston (at left), hospice community educator Meghan Wilinski, Robert Lee, Mike Kreider and Gerald Wistrand. Preston is a U.S. Navy Medic veteran. He received his pin from Wilinski. Preston served from 1963 to 1967. Macklin is a Navy veteran, served on the U.S.S. White Plaines and was in Pearl Harbor as well as on several islands that were in combat. (Group photo submitted, photos by Lori Hammelman)
