ROCHELLE — Linda Louise Brass, 71, of Rochelle, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, in Rochelle Community Hospital. She was born May 21, 1949, in Southampton, England, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Davis) Knight.
Linda was employed as a journalist writing for The Observer. She was a longtime member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church, a member of Scottish County Dancing Club, Daughters of the British Empire, Northern Illinois Newspaper Association and Northwest Quarterly. She loved The Beatles, writing, painting, dancing, and nature.  
Survivors include daughter, Michelle (Kyle) Brass; son, Anthony Brass; lifelong friend, Sheila; many family and loved ones.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 4, in St. Edward’s Catholic Church, 3004 11th St., Rockford. Burial will be in Arlington Memorial Park. Please send flowers or memorials to Catholic Charities or EWTN.
