ROCHELLE — Lucy Victoria Dale, 82, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021at her home in Rochelle with family by her side.  Lucy was born on May 27, 1938 the daughter of Earl and Lucille (Czyza) Mankowsky in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. On Nov. 14, 1955, she married Charles Fredrick Dale in Rochelle. She retired from Tilton Elementary School after many years of working in the cafeteria.  
Lucy enjoyed golfing and her rose garden. She loved gathering together with family and friends with her famous potato salad in hand.  
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on Oct. 22, 2005; son, Jamie; and two brothers, Billy and George.
Lucy is survived by three children, Skeeter (Greg Johnston) Dale of Birmingham, Alabama, Debbie (Rob) Prough of Rochelle, and Bobbie (Randy) Arjes of Kings; daughter-in-law, Brenda Dale of Murphysboro, Tennessee; three sisters, Maria, Maxine and Toni; 12 grandchildren, Josh, Stacey, Dane, Leslie, Ryan, Alex, Cody, Caleb, Niles, Neely, Luke and Jacob; and 12 great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 20 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 236 Kelley Drive, Rochelle, with Father Jesus Dominguez officiating.  The service will be live streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page.  Burial will follow the service at St. Patrick Cemetery in Rochelle.  
Later this year, there will be a Celebration of Life gathering to honor Lucy’s and Jamie’s lives.  
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
