ROCHELLE — Mary Feldhaus, 89, of Rochelle, was called home while surrounded by family on Friday, March 5, 2021. She was born on Dec. 29, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Joseph and Frances Parrino. She married the love of her life, Jack, on May 2, 1959. Her faith, love of God, and devotion to Mary were evident to all those who knew her, and she was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rochelle. Mary was full of joy, had a sense of humor, and loved being with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting ceramics, and cooking.
Survivors include her eight children, Marty (Karen) Feldhaus of Davis Junction, Barb (Russ) Eychaner of Malta, Nancy Johnson of Rochelle, Eric (Tapan) Feldhaus of California, Michael (Jane) Feldhaus of New Hampshire, Tony (Meg) Feldhaus of Geneva, Lisa (Jim) Basso of Minnesota, and Ann (Mike) Green of Rochelle; as well as her brother Nick (Susan) Parrino of Missouri. Additionally are those who call her Nana, her 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
She enjoyed having extra family time and making memories while living with Ann, Mike, Isaac, Clare, John and Mark Green the past 10 years.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11 with a rosary to follow at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, Rochelle. Masks must be worn and social distancing guidelines should be followed.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 12 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Rochelle. Masks must also be worn and social distancing guidelines followed at the church. The Mass will be live streamed on the Unger-Horner Funeral Home Facebook page. Public burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Rochelle. 
Memorials in Mary’s name may be made to the Rochelle Senior Center.
