ROCHELLE — Nancy Ann Whaley, 65, passed away Sunday, June 6 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. Nancy was born on Feb. 6, 1956 to Bill and Phyllis (Rand) Charlesworth in DeKalb.  

On July 6, 1981, she married Terry N. Whaley in Sycamore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant sister, Diane Charlesworth.

Nancy enjoyed road trips in the jeep, floating on a raft in her pool, horseback riding and especially her flower gardens. But nothing was more important to her than spending time with her grandkids.  

She was in the healthcare profession her entire life and spent 27 years with Rochelle Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Terry of Rochelle; two daughters: Jennifer (Ron) Kraemer of Steward and Stephanie (Gary Evans) Whaley of Rochelle; two brothers: Jon (Cris) Charlesworth and Jeff (Linda) Charlesworth; two grandchildren: Adalyn Munson and Beckett Kraemer and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m., Saturday, June 12 at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle.  

The funeral service will follow at noon with Chaplain Judy Williams officiating. Burial is at Greenview Cemetery in Esmond.
