Dear Editor,
Recently, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau suspended checking financial firms for being in compliance with the Military Lending Act. This act protects members or our armed forces and their dependents from financial predators. Now such check cashing/car loan operations can set up shop near military bases and charge whatever interest rate they see fit.
This needs to be controlled as they target our young military men and women and get them hopelessly in debt. Please contact your member of U.S. Congress to reverse this.
