ROCHELLE — The Flagg-Rochelle Community Park District Board of Commissioners approved two ordinances regarding $1.075 million in General Obligation Park Bonds and $758,243 for the 2020 fiscal year tax levy during the December meeting at Rochelle City Hall on Monday.
Commissioners also approved the district’s municipal advisory agreement with Raymond James as well as two payments to Sjostrom & Sons amounting $108,063.83 and $107,913.75 for continued work at the Spring Lake facilities. Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger said that construction crews began demolishing the north wall of the Spring Lake Pool in early December.
Ohlinger also said crews have started working on both the upper and lower timber walls, which she said should be completed at the end of this week or the following Monday, Dec. 28. Ohlinger said that Tier 3 mitigations from the State of Illinois have been extended through Jan. 9, 2021, which will continue to limit capacity inside the recreation center at 802 Jones Road.
