ROCHELLE — The Pinewood Derby was held in Rochelle on Feb. 19 at the Presbyterian Church. Boy Scout Troop 553 helped with the derby. Kiwanis Golden K of Rochelle was thanked for its support of the event.

For the Lions Den, Spencer Kulwicki finished first, Micah Lobos finished second and Reid Quinonez was best in show.

For the Tigers Den, Rory Williams finished first, Brody Lofthouse finished second, Logan Whiting finished third and best in show was Brayden England.

For the Wolves Den, Cody Cox finished first, Joa Lopez was second, Bryce Nichols was third and Jackson Noble won best in show.

For the Bears Den, Leo Leon finished first, Zachery Quinonez finished second, Dylan Philips finished third and Levi Kedzie won best in show.

For the Webelos Den, Matrix Bryan finished first, Gabriel Coats finished second, Juan Garcia finished third and Colin McCullogh won best in show.

For the Arrow of Light Den, Benjamin Morris finished first, Austin Shepard finished second, Axel Alsop finished third and Owen Heitkamp won best in show.

For the Siblings Den, Caleb Hawkins finished first, Hunter Phillips finished second, Taytum Leon finished third and Clara Lofthouse won best in show.

Fastest times included Benjamin Morris (2.6214 seconds, 188.57 m.p.h.), Matrix Bryan (2.6267 seconds, 188.19 m.p.h.) and Austin Shepard (2.6512 seconds, 186.45 m.p.h.).
