RCH announces visitor restriction changes; reopens cafeteria

Posted

ROCHELLE — With the significant reduction in COVID-19 cases, effective immediately, Rochelle Community Hospital will now allow one visitor at a time per patient. This means family members or friends can visit inpatients individually as long as there is only one person in the room and at the hospital at a time. Anyone hospitalized with COVID-19 will not be allowed to have visitors.

Family members accompanying patients to the emergency department will continue to be limited to one dedicated person for the duration of the visit. No visitors will be allowed if the patient is positive or being tested for COVID-19.

Anyone entering RCH must continue to meet screening/masking requirements and remain properly masked for the duration of their visit anywhere in the facility, including the patient’s room, due to CDC/IDPH requirements for healthcare facilities.

Effective Monday, Feb. 21, the cafeteria will reopen to the public with limited seating Monday through Friday from 7-9 a.m., noon-1:15 p.m. and a made to order menu from 5-6:15 p.m.  Weekend hours offer items from the made to order menu available from noon-1:15 p.m. and 5-6 p.m.  Catering orders are also resuming. Menus are available online at www.rochellehospital.com/patients-and-visitors/food-and-nutrition/.
