ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Dinner and Awards Presentation on May 20 at the Kennay Farms Rickhouse in downtown Rochelle. The event will showcase the Kennay’s new upscale casual banquet and event space adjacent to its Distillery. Over 150 local government and business leaders are expected to attend the celebration.

Quinn’s Jewelry in downtown Rochelle will sponsor the awards to be presented to six chamber member individuals and businesses who will be recognized for a variety of accomplishments and investments made in 2020 by its board of directors.

“Every year the chamber honors an outstanding group of business leaders who have played a role in strengthening our economy by providing jobs, goods and services and benevolence to the region,” said Tricia Herrera, chamber executive director. “It is great to get together to celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees and their dedication to the Chamber, especially following a year of uncertainty and hardships brought on by the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Limited seating is still available at $45 per person or $345 for a table of eight. Reserve your seat by calling the Rochelle Chamber at (815) 562-4189 or by email at rochellechamber@gmail.com. The deadline to accept reservations is Friday, May 7. The event will begin with a 5:15 p.m. cocktail hour cash bar and appetizers. Dinner to be served at 6 p.m. by the Flight Deck Bar and Grill, followed at 7 p.m. with a brief program and awards ceremony.

“We are thrilled to be the first group to hold a large event at the newly-designed Rickhouse,” Herrera said. “The unique venue will add much to the atmosphere of recognizing our members in a variety of specialized categories.”
