OREGON — Serenity Hospice and Home of Oregon recently announced that it has been named a 2021 Hospice Honors Elite recipient by HEALTHCAREfirst.
The “prestigious annual review” recognizes agencies that continuously provide the highest level of quality care as measured from the caregiver’s point of view, a press release said.
“Hospice Honors Elite recipients are industry leaders in providing quality care and constantly seeking ways to improve,” Ronda Howard, vice president of revenue cycle and CAHPS at HEALTHCAREfirst, said. “We are honored to be aligned with such high performing agencies like Serenity Hospice and Home and we congratulate them on their success.”
Award criteria were based on Hospice CAHPS survey results for an evaluation period of Oct. 2019 through Sept. 2020. Award recipients were identified by evaluating performance on a set of 24 quality indicator measures. Serenity scored above the National Performance Score on all 24 of the evaluated questions.
“I am very proud of the staff at Serenity,” Lynn Knodle, Serenity CEO, said. “This evaluation period included much of the COVID-19 pandemic period and to achieve this level of patient satisfaction is amazing.
