ROCHELLE— The annual Lincoln Highway Heritage Festival will be taking place this weekend and crews are hard at work getting all of the rides and vendors set up in time.
Currently, portions of Lincoln Highway that run through downtown Rochelle are blocked off as workers put together amusement rides and booths. The carnival and food vendors will be open from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Rides at the festival range from 2 to 5 tickets each. Unlimited ride wristbands for the entire weekend can be purchased before 3 p.m. on Friday for $50 or at the event for $60. Single day unlimited ride wristbands can also be purchased for Friday or Sunday for $25 or $30 for Saturday. Wristbands are available for purchase at Rochelle City Hall, Colonial Flowers, Quinn’s Jewelry, Ray’s New & Used Furniture or RMU. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the festival either individually or by the sheet.
There will also be many other attractions throughout the weekend for the whole family such as live bands, a parade, a car show and a 50/50 raffle.
