OREGON – The Ogle County Board on July 16 finally approved a new contract for the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department.
The new six-year deal covers about 70 people, said Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle, including patrol deputies, corrections officers and “non-sworn” workers including office staff. They have all been working without a contract since Dec. 1, 2017.
