Shirley Rae Webb, 79, passed away Dec. 27, 2021 at her home in Ashton with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born on May 19, 1942 in Flagg Center to the late Clyde and Rose (Hintzsche) Schaneberge.

ASHTON — Shirley Rae Webb, 79, passed away Dec. 27, 2021 at her home in Ashton with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born on May 19, 1942 in Flagg Center to the late Clyde and Rose (Hintzsche) Schaneberge.

Shirley worked for Eaton, Del Monte and Crest Foods, she co-owned the Huddle Restaurant with Chuck and Jerry Williams and also co-owned Mel’s Tap with Mel Lawson. Shirley was a Green Bay Packers fan, was very patriotic and enjoyed collection Eagles.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law April and Ben Fichter of Ashton and Darla Webb of Rantoul, Illinois and one brother, William (Bill) Schaneberge of Franklin Grove.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, four sisters: Louise Hooberry, Roa Warning, Edna (Bunny) White and Dola Boesecker, four brothers: Robert, Leroy, Tim and Dennis and one grandchild, Jamie Burhenn.

Funeral visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home at 601 Richardson Ave. Ashton with Rev. Randy Sizemore officiating. Interment to follow to Ashton Cemetery.
