OREGON – Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle recently presented Deputy Rodney Smith with the Distinguished Service Award for his efforts in traffic safety, not only for the previous year, but throughout his more than 30 years at the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office.
Alfano’s Pizzeria of Oregon and Rochelle made a donation to the sheriff’s office for Smith as part of the award.
“Congratulations Deputy Smith, and thank you for your continued efforts in keeping the citizens of Ogle County safe,” a sheriff’s office Facebook post said.
