Tim J. Hintzsche

BYRON — Tim J. Hintzsche, 61, of Byron IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, with his family by his side. Born July 21, 1962, in DeKalb, IL, the son of Charles and Sandra (Pierce) Hintzsche. Tim attended Rochelle Township High School. He married Christine Stout on September 24, 1994. He began his career hauling meat for FDL Foods of Dubuque, Iowa in 1978, eventually becoming an OTR owner/operator until 2002.

Tim loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, boating, ATV’s, making a bonfire, or camping – he was always ready to go. He treasured the family vacations in northern Wisconsin and camping and fishing at King’s Camp in Chana, IL. He was sure to keep a close eye on the Chicago Cubs schedule, so his chores did not interfere with their game.

He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and uncle. Tim inherited a passion from his dad for teaching anyone, especially kids, the joy of the outdoors. While growing up and working on the family farm he became extremely mechanically inclined – he could fix anything, sometimes temporary, often permanent, and he enthusiastically shared his help, talents, and advice with others.

Survived by his wife, Christine; son, John; mother, Sandra; brother, William (Cheryl) Hintzsche; sister, Janette Hintzsche; nephews, Eric (Ashley) Hintzsche, Samuel Hintzsche and Vincent Morris; nieces, Liliana Webb and Cori Block, numerous great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins; brother-in-law, Ricky (Tammy) Stout; his lifelong friend, Al Rush; and his fur baby, Maya.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles Hintzsche.

The family would like to thank Northern Illinois Hospice Association – and especially Stacy for the loving care, compassion, and attention we received.

There will be a private service for the family.

Tim’s family will host A Celebration of his Life on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 pm, at the Jarrett Prairie Center located at 7993 North River Road Byron, Illinois. Please join us and celebrate his wonderful life.
