Traffic stop leads to arrest for license revoked

On Oct. 15 at approximately 4:08 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop in the 12,000 block of W. Haldane Rd. After investigation, deputies placed Benjamin Seals, 39, of Forreston, under arrest for driving while license revoked. Seals was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
Warrant arrests
On Oct. 15 the following were arrested for outstanding Ogle County warrants:
Jessinia F. Loyola, 27, of Rockford, for no driver’s license. Loyola posted the $2,000/10 percent applied bond and was released. Loyola will appear in court on Nov. 2.
Joseph A. Myers, 21, of Davis Junction, for failure to appear. Myers posted the $323 full cash bond and was released with no further court date needed.
Jose G. Sanchez-Teoquiz, 36, of South Elgin, for petition to revoke. The $1,500/10 percent applied bond was posted. He will appear in court on Nov. 2.
On Oct. 16, Nicholas J. Schleicher, 35, of Malta, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for probation violation. Schleicher did not post the $100,000/10 percent applies bond and will appear in court on Nov. 13.
Hit and run
On Oct. 16 at approximately 12:58 p.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a hit and run accident in the 2000 block of N. IL Route 251. The offending vehicle was located shortly thereafter in the Davis Junction area and stopped. The driver, William Randles, 44, of Oswego, was arrested for possession of controlled substance, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Randles was also cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, expired registration, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating an uninsured vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle, Kenneth Steen, 66, of Rockford, complained of minor injuries and was released from the scene.
