Williams Fund for the Arts annual art show canceled

‘We are committed to continuing this tradition in the future’

ROCHELLE — It is with a heavy heart that our family has decided to cancel our annual Art Show 2024 fundraiser for the Daniel and Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts. In January 2024 we received news that Danny has multiple myeloma. The journey to remission is still ongoing, with weekly chemotherapy treatments and his stem cell transplant scheduled for January 2025. Danny has chosen to focus on his health and spend precious time with his family. We fully support his decision to prioritize his well-being during this challenging time. We kindly ask for your understanding and support as we navigate this difficult period. If you are interested in following Danny's journey, you can follow his blog at http://mysocalledloma.blogspot.com/.

We understand that many of you look forward to this event each year, and we share in your disappointment. Art brings us together, inspires us, and fosters a sense of community, and we are committed to continuing this tradition in the future.

While the event will not take place this year, we are still accepting donations to support our ongoing fundraising efforts to support the Daniel and Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts at https://rochellefoundation.org/williams-fund-for-arts or you can contact Emily Anaya at the Rochelle Area Community Foundation. The Daniel and Stephanie Williams Fund for the Arts was established in 2018 to help future artists bring statues, sculptures, murals and other permanent or semi-permanent art projects to life in our community.

We want to thank you for your continued support and appreciate all the gifts, cards, and donations. We are so grateful to be a part of an amazing community.
