ROCHELLE — Liberty Village held a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday afternoon, officially beginning the construction of Manor Court, the new skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.
Developer Don Fike, along with Liberty Village officials and Mayor Chet Olson participated in the ceremony, held just outside Hawthorne Inn, formerly San Gabriel. Residents of Hawthorne Inn, along with city officials and community members were invited to the event.
Fike said the 92-bed facility will have several features including private baths and showers in each bedroom, a dining room in each neighborhood, and state-of-the-art therapy and memory care.
Fike then thanked the staff at Liberty Village and the City of Rochelle for their help in starting the project.
