Rochelle Wrestling Club grappler Teddy Millard earned a fourth-place medal in the 2020 Illinois Bantam Championships this past weekend. Millard went 1-1 over his first two bouts before winning three consecutive wrestlebacks to reach the consolation finals, where he dropped a tough decision in the third-place match.

BOLINGBROOK — Rochelle Wrestling Club grappler Teddy Millard earned a fourth-place medal in the 2020 Illinois Bantam Championships this past weekend. Millard went 1-1 over his first two bouts before winning three consecutive wrestlebacks to reach the consolation finals, where he dropped a tough decision in the third-place match.
Millard totaled two decisions, one major decision and one fall in the tournament. Millard earned a 12-3 major decision over Crystal Lake’s Grayson Frank before conceding a 9-4 decision to The LAW’s Quinn Peight in the quarterfinal round.
In wrestlebacks, Millard pinned DeKalb’s Corbin McDonald in 58 seconds, defeated Nicholas Anfeldt Jr. 6-4 and topped Olympia’s Madax Baker 7-1 to reach the third-place bout. Millard fought hard in the consolation finals, falling to Team 1006’s Gabriel Bass 7-0.
