The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent seven athletes to the 2023 Rockford Bad Boys Open on Friday afternoon. Two Rochelle athletes brought home first-place finishes at the tournament, while two more secured second-place finishes to close out the calendar year.

ROCKFORD — The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent seven athletes to the 2023 Rockford Bad Boys Open on Friday afternoon. Two Rochelle athletes brought home first-place finishes at the tournament, while two more secured second-place finishes to close out the calendar year.

Wells Millard finished first in the Bantam 408 Division with a 2-1 record, earning a first-round fall over Toss Em Up’s Justin-Carter Jones and a third-round 4-0 decision over SJO Youth Wrestling’s Carson Gallo. Colt Hensley finished first in the Intermediate 108 Division with a 2-0 record, notching falls over Rockford Wrestling’s Raul Cornelio and ISI Wrestling’s Leo Magadan.

Jaxyn Manna took second in the Tots 1005 Division with a 2-1 record, scoring an 8-7 decision over Blue Line’s Romeo Logsdon and a 14-2 major decision over Dundee’s Alycia Perez. Nehemiah Andronic took second in the Intermediate 202 Division with a 2-1 record, earning an 8-2 decision over Toss Em Up’s Zeke Banda and a 5-3 sudden victory over Alber’s Nek Jones.

Elias Andronic was fourth in the Bantam 506 Division with a 1-2 record, notching a 10-6 decision over Morris Wrestling’s Quinton O’Donnell. Teddy Millard was fourth in the Novice 804 Division and Axel Alsop was fourth in the Senior 201 Division to round out the Rochelle roster.
