BOLINGBROOK — The Rochelle Wrestling Club sent five athletes to the 2024 Bob Jahn Memorial at Bolingbrook High School on Sunday. Three athletes brought home first-place finishes in the annual tournament, while two others secured top-3 finishes on Sunday.
Wells Millard won the Bantam 51-54 Division with a 2-0 record, earning an 18-1 technical fall over Vittum Cats wrestler Arlin Wittenmeier and a fall over Tribe’s Augustine Martinez. Elias Andronic won the Bantam 54-56 Division with a 2-0 record, securing a 16-0 technical fall over BTS-Bellwood’s Christopher Hillard and a fall over Little Celtics wrestler Axl Williams.
Nehemiah Andronic won the Bantam 69-69 Division with a 2-0 record, scoring a fall over Brawlers Wrestling’s Orin Nettestad and a 16-1 technical fall over Barrington’s Jacob Hatfield. Dominic Escatel took second in the Intermediate 80-83 Division with a 2-1 record, opening the tournament with a fall over Brawlers Wrestling’s Owen Phillips and a 3-0 decision over BTS-Avondale’s Luke Leffler.
Teddy Millard finished third in the Novice 69-70 Division with a 1-2 record, notching a 12-0 major decision over Panther Wrestling’s Elizabeth Bisonaya.
