OREGON – ENAG will host its annual fall art show for Autumn On Parade at its second floor art gallery located in Conover Square Mall, 201 N. 3rdSt. on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m-2p.m.
This year’s AOP Art Show will be dedicated to the memory of artist Arlene Henson who passed away on June 16, 2017. Several of her art pieces will be on display. She was an active Eagle’s Nest Art Group member as well as a great supporter of the Byron Library, the Byron Senior Citizen’s Group, and Serenity Shed. She was a regular member of the classes at Ceramics by Cin. Arlene was also a prior member of the Rockford Yacht Club.
The AOP Art Show includes a wide variety of art, including oil paintings, acrylics, watercolors, photography, calligraphy, pen and ink, hand-crafted jewelry, plus both ceramic and glass 3-dimensional pieces. Prints and original cards are also available for sale.
At this year’s show, the members of the Eagle’s Nest Art Group will also be supporting Hands On Oregon with 100 percent of the proceeds from specially marked items going to help with local projects, including the work being done on Conover Square.
Everyone is invited. There is no charge. Artists will be on hand to welcome you to this annual community event for a celebration of local art along the Rock River in the former piano factory Conover Square. For more information call 815-732-7783.
