The Rochelle Rotary Club challenged Rochelle Middle School students to read and they have once again met the 1,000 book goal for the Reading Challenge. The theme this year was “Snow Better Time to Read.”
RMS students read 1,702 books and earned $1,500 for books from the Rochelle Rotary Club. Students winning incentives have been drawn and are Kaitlin Thompson (100 gel pens set), Payton Hale (wooden colored pencils), Lupita Cortes (polar bear), Kelly Santana (sixth grade, $20 gift card), Juan Barajas (seventh grade, $20 gift card), Ella Seebach (eighth grade, $20 gift card) and Dalia Garcia (Kindle Fire).
Mr. Donovan and the RMS art club helped with decorations and display of sculpted snowmen.
