ROCHELLE — The Rochelle Fire Department, along with Ogle-Lee Fire Protection District responded to an apartment fire on Short Court early Monday morning.
Crews were called at 2:45 a.m. to 1258 Short Court for smoke in the building, which contains six units. There were no injuries reported.
First responding officers reported heavy smoke and people evacuating. Flames could be seen through the lower level windows.
Rochelle Fire Chief Dave Sawlsville said the blaze was contained to one apartment.
