AMBOY – 2018 marks the 25th Anniversary for the Lee County Farm Bureau Foundation. The foundation humbly started 25 years ago with the goal of awarding local agriculture students with scholarships. In the past 25 years, they are proud to have awarded 73 scholarships to local youth pursuing higher education in agriculture.
The Foundation has expanded over the years to other youth agricultural education programs including the Lee County Ag in the Classroom program and the Books by the Bushel grant program.
The farm bureau is celebrating with a 25th Anniversary Cash Bash Fundraiser with the goal of raising $25,000 in honor of the 25th Anniversary. The Cash Bash will be held on Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Post House in Dixon. A dinner and raffle will be held, awarding $8,750 in prizes.
