ROCHELLE — If you heard some booms and bangs around 10:15 p.m. Saturday, it was all for a great reason ... RTHS seniors were enjoying their last hurrah.
Ava Coglianese and Garrett Burdin were crowned queen and king as the sun set on “Hubland” Saturday night, kicking off the Senior Blast 2021 on what would have been, if not for the pandemic, their last prom night.
About 75 seniors enjoyed volleyball, bag toss and music before hunkering down under blankets for the movie “Spiderman Homecoming” on the big screen followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Those participating would like to thank the administration and the teachers, like prom advisor Amy Schweitzer, who made the event possible.
A very special shout out to former Rochelle Hub Jake Vogeler and his RKM Fireworks!
