Coffman was selected by her fellow students and teachers, through a process that includes an optional written essay, for exemplifying the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
Although unable to receive their Good Citizen Awards in person, the following students from four additional area high schools were also selected: Kallie Appleman, Amboy; Gabriel Johnston, Paw Paw; Jacie Wyatt, Rochelle Township; and Stephanie Anderson, Stillman Valley.
