ROCHELLE – The League of Women’s Voters will be hosting a meeting Thursday to discuss the current status and future of downtown Rochelle.
During the meeting they will discuss retail development in downtown Rochelle: What is happening now, what is coming up, what are the incentives for downtown businesses and what is next?
At the meeting, Director of City Development for the City of Rochelle, Michelle Pease, will be giving a presentation.

“I will be presenting on the businesses that are here, the businesses that are coming, the incentives they have used, and what is next,” said Pease.
There will be no voting or decisions being made at the meeting, it is purely an informational meeting that will include a PowerPoint presentation.
According to their website, the League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government. They influence public policy through education and advocacy and never support or oppose any political party or candidate.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Ogle County building in downtown Rochelle and is open to anyone who would like to attend.
