OREGON — A Mount Morris man was arrested after making threats to several county employees.
On the afternoon of Oct. 23, the Ogle County State’s Attorney’s Office received a phone call in which the caller made threatening statements regarding employees of the Ogle County Judicial Center, specifically the State’s Attorney’s Office and judges.
Additional security measures were enacted Wednesday morning until the caller could be identified and located. At approximately 9:35 a.m., Jason L. Churchill, 50, of Mount Morris, was taken into custody.
Churchill was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was held in lieu of bond.
