LANCASTER Calif. — Evan Olliff, great-grandson of Phil Rodriguez of Rochelle, graduated from Desert Christian Middle School in Lancaster, Calif., on June 13 with high honors.
He graduated with a 3.96 GPA and received many awards for academics, leadership, and athletics. Olliff received the President’s award for outstanding academics, the Heart Award for his soccer athletics, and Christian Character awards for his service in a Godly manner.
Olliff’s academic achievements earned him an award and a monetary scholarship to attend Desert Christian High School this fall. He also received a certificate of special recognition from Karly Shy, NASA Armstrong Director, Office of Education, for his academic excellence in mathematics.
He will be attending Desert Christian High School starting this fall and will be playing football, soccer and basketball.
