RCH announces changes to visitor restrictions

Posted

ROCHELLE — With the significant reduction in COVID-19 cases, effective Monday, June 21, Rochelle Community Hospital will now allow one visitor at a time per patient.

This means family members or friends can visit individually as long as there is only one person in the room and at the hospital at a time. Visitors need to meet screening and masking requirements. These restrictions apply to all visitors for patients on the medical/surgical floor, emergency department and outpatient clinics.

Exceptions will be made for end of life patients on a case-by-case basis. Anyone hospitalized with COVID-19 will not be allowed to have visitors.

Anyone entering RCH must continue to meet screening/masking requirements and remain masked for the duration of their visit anywhere in the facility, including the patient’s room, due to CDC/IDPH requirements for healthcare facilities.

We know that when patients have a loved one with them they have less anxiety and often have better outcomes. The health and safety of patients and staff are always top priority.
