ROCHELLE — The bi-monthly meeting of the Arnold Heltness American Legion Post 403 was held at the Iron Skillet Restaurant on May 9.
The speaker was Gregg Olson, chief executive officer of Rochelle Hospital, who gave a presentation on the efforts of the hospital to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and treat patients with the virus.
There will be a special free breakfast for veterans on Tuesday, June 29 at the Oregon VFW Post 8739 at 1310 W. Washington St. in Oregon. The breakfast is hosted by the Veterans Assistance Commission of Ogle County to introduce the new Superintendent/Veteran Service Officer, Luz Gilkey.
