CRESTON — Residents in Creston enjoyed their first ever community-wide Christmas event with “Christmas in Creston” on Dec. 1.
Businesses, village hall and the Creston-Dement Public Library were open for the holiday event, offering refreshments, activities and special offers.
“Santa arrived and handed out gifts to the children,” said library director Kristi Scherer.
The community participated in the Gingerbread House decorating contest; winners were announced inside Booster Hall.
Scherer credited all of the individuals, the community, and those who donated to make the event a success. These include: Ho Ka Turkey Farm, Headon and Sons, Creston Booster Club, Roadhouse Antiques, Panache Salon, Records and Memories, Village Hall staff and Holcomb Bank.
