On Tuesday morning, Rochelle News-Leader publisher John Shank (far left) presented a check in the amount of $520 to members of the Rochelle Township High School marching band, Jennifer Heinrich, Addison Curtis, Madison Szepkowski and Megan Thiravong. The money generated was from a recent News-Leader subscription drive and was given to the band to help with costs for the trip to Washington, D.C., to perform in the Parade of Heroes event on Veterans Day. The money donated was enough to send two students on the trip. (Photo by Vicki Snyder-Chura)
