OREGON – Looking for a fun and cool place to spend some time this summer?
Stop by The Serenity Shed in downtown Oregon. This unique facility is a full-functioning workshop and bereavement center operated by Serenity Hospice. The Shed is open to the public Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

At The Shed you can spend some time volunteering, take a class or shop. The Shed has a showroom full of unique, one-of-a kind pieces of furniture, art by local artists and handmade crafts. And the best part is all proceeds benefit Serenity Hospice, which is not-for-profit.
The Shed will be hosting a Christmas in July class on July 29 from 9-11:30 a.m. for kids ages 6-12.  Participants will be making their own wooden snowman and enjoying refreshments. This sturdy snowman will have your child’s unique artistic touches and become a holiday decoration to treasure for years to come. The class including all supplies costs $20. Register today by calling 815-732-2499.
This month’s Girls Night Out class is July 28 at 6 p.m. and the project is painted wine glasses. All skill levels will enjoy this fun night out. We have a talented teacher who can show you an easy technique for turning wine glasses into beautiful art. The cost of this class is $30 and this includes all supplies, refreshments and wine. Register by calling 815-732-2499.
The Shed, which is located at 131 N. 3rdSt. in downtown Oregon, is a full- functioning workshop and bereavement center ran by Serenity Hospice and Home. Volunteers for The Shed repurpose furniture and create new items that are sold and the proceeds benefit hospice. Check out our Facebook page (The Serenity Shed) for up to date information and to see the unique items that are for sale.
