ROCHELLE — The community came out in droves for the annual Rochelle Masons pork sandwich drive thru Saturday, despite the blustery conditions. Saturday saw a mix of bright sunshine, snow flurries and gusty winds.
Bud Norcross, Masonic Lodge Secretary, said they sold out of food.
“Normally we have enough supplies for 300 meals,” he said. “We had a great day. This is our big fundraiser of the year…we are there in the rain or snow, no matter what. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us.”
Norcross added that the fundraiser helps to support charities including scholarships and the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
