On Monday night, Rochelle Mayor Chet Olson proclaimed April 16 through April 20, 2018 as Week of the Young Child in Rochelle. Organizations such as the Rochelle Child Care Center work to improve early learning opportunities and early literacy programs that can provide a foundation for learning. On hand to accept the proclamation is Brittany Furman, pictured above with Mayor Olson. Furman is employed at the center as a teacher for two year-olds, for the last 20 years.
