Williams graduates from USMC boot camp

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Private First Class Dominic Williams, 18, of Rochelle graduated from the United States Marine Corp boot camp at Marine Corp Recruit Depot San Diego on Sept. 17.

PFC Williams successfully completed 12 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD San Diego as one of the 19 recruits in Training Platoon 2174.

While in recruit training, PFC Williams achieved platoon leader and rifle expert. Following graduation, PFC Williams went to Camp Pendleton where he awaits training in the Infantry Marine Course (IMC).

PFC Williams is the son of David and Kalah Williams and the grandson of Noel and Margaret Allison, the late David Williams and the late Eugene and Helen Kessen.
