ROCHELLE — It was an occasion to raise a glass to.
More than 300 people attended this year’s Wine on Lincoln in downtown Rochelle on Saturday. Guests enjoyed conversation, food, and musical entertainment.

Jenny Thompson, Marketing Director for the City of Rochelle, talked about the future of the event as well as the feedback the organizers received. Thompson said tickets for the event were sold out.
“We will definitely have another Wine on Lincoln next year and we’re planning to invite even more wineries to join the event,” Thompson said. “The feedback was really positive and we enjoyed seeing everyone have such a great time in downtown Rochelle. We know our visitors would like to sample from more wineries and we have some ideas to make that happen for next year.”
Rochelle’s Community Development and Tourism Director Michelle Pease also discussed the event.
“It is so enjoyable to watch our community come together and enjoy the downtown,” Pease said. “There’s more to come!”
