ROCKFORD — At Northwest Illinois Audubon Society’s monthly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Juliet Moderow, NIAS past president and Highland Community College biology instructor, will explain the science behind the National Audubon Society’s “Survival by Degrees” report released October 2019.
This program offered virtually by Zoom begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.
Two-thirds of North American birds are at increased risk of extinction from global temperature rise. The results will be shared, with specific details from northwest Illinois including predicted climate threats for this area and specific birds affected. Juliet will also share how you can help and make a difference.
