ROCK FALLS — The Rochelle Hub varsity basketball team allowed Rock Falls to reach the century mark during Wednesday evening's nonconference road game against the Rockets. Senior Eli Luxton finished with 16 points, while freshman Brody Bruns added a 15-point and 11-rebound double-double as the Hubs fell 100-78.
Junior Carson Lewis tallied 15 points and drilled four 3-pointers for the Hubs (8-15, 2-6 Interstate 8), who will host Stillman Valley on Thursday before facing Ottawa at home on Saturday. While the Hubs remained within three points at halftime, Rock Falls dominated the second half, outscoring Rochelle 55-36 to take the nonconference game.
