DIXON — Sophomore bowler Devansh Patel recorded his best single-game performance of the season on Saturday, when the Hubs competed in the Dixon Toughman Tournament at Plum Hollow Lanes. Rochelle placed 11th out of 14 teams with 4,760 pins over five games.

Patel brought home the fifth-place high game medal for throwing a 244 in his fourth game of the tournament. The Hubs opened Saturday morning with 801 in the first game behind Keith Holland’s 183. Rochelle followed with 784 and 768 across the second and third games, with Logan Ortega rolling a 211 in Game 2 and Holland shooting 179 in Game 3.

Patel’s 244 and Ortega’s 202 propelled Rochelle to a tournament-best 916 performance in the fourth game before the Hubs cooled off with 808 in the fifth and final game. Ortega scored 224 to finish with a team-best 948 series on the day, while Holland added 886 and Patel totaled 849.
