ROCHELLE — Temperatures are not expected to reach above 20 degrees in the next week, according to The Weather Channel. The coldest day will be Saturday with a high of seven degrees. And with the cold temperatures comes advisories for those out in the winter conditions.
Illinois residents are advised to use caution when traveling outside.
Rochelle Community Hospital posted a frostbite warning on its Facebook page explaining it is caused by prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. Frostbite is most likely to affect body parts farther away from the body core such as feet, toes, fingers, nose and ears.
