ROCHELLE — The landscape on Eighth Avenue near 10th Street in Rochelle is beginning to look a little different as demolition crews work on tearing down the existing home to make way for the newest Habitat for Humanity build.
Habitat for Humanity of Ogle County executive director Vanessa White-Broome said the organization is recruiting volunteers of all skill levels to assist in the construction process. Along with volunteers for the build, people can bring food for the volunteers such as sandwiches and bottles of water.
Anyone interested in volunteering or donating food for the project is asked to contact Vanessa White-Broome at 815-440-6598 or Gail Tuttle, volunteer coordinator at 815-494-2114.
